For the last year, I have been working as a reporter and currently promoted to an Features editor at the student newspaper, The Muleskinner. As an editor, I have gained strength in communicating with direct reports, writing and editing stories by a deadline, and help produce any audio recordings for online coverage.

Scholarships celebrate struggles and shared visions: The Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Scholarship was started by the Association of African American Faculty and Staff at UCM in 1994. Each year, UCM alumni and patrons donate to the scholarship, which financially awards three students involved in community building in Warrensburg and their home communities. Read more

UMG has a falling out with TikTok due to contract disputes: TikTok goes silent on Feb. 1 after Universal Music Group takes their music off due to not meeting a licensing agreement. UMG is one of the leading music companies, known for investing in major artists, financially or marketing-wise. Now big artists like Taylor Swift, Drake, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish and BTS no longer have their music displayed on their TikTok profiles and have been removed from posted videos. Read more
